I am here to complete my achievement 3 task whereby I will like write about ‘plagiarism’.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a the representation of another authors work as your work without their consent or without crediting the author.

In simple words, when someone plagiarizes, it means that, he/she takes the work of other content creators and pass them as his/her own creation.

Types of plagiarism.
There are different types of plagiarism, these are mention below;

A. Complete plagiarism

Complete plagiarism is the most serious form of plagiarism. This occurs when an author takes the work of another author or researcher simply takes an original research work that someone else generated and submits it under his/her name. This occurs when a content creator takes the work of another content creator and putting it as your work . This type of plagiarism can be considered to be intellectual theft. This is complete plagiarism.

B. Direct plagiarism

Direct or plagiarism occurs when the creator takes most of his or her draft almost word -for-word, without the use of quotation marks. The content creator passes it of as his or her own work. And then, the content creator passes it of as his or her own work.

C. Self or author plagiarism
This can be also known as duplication, happens when a content creator rest takes important parts of his or her previously published work without referral. This type mostly involves published researchers.

D. Mosaic plagiarism
This happen when creator inserts someone else’s phrases its own research. This type of plagiarism is not easily detected.' It is also known as patchwork plagiarism'.

E. Accidental plagiarism
plagiarism intentional, but still there is not excuse for stealing someone's work. This happen when author accidentally plagiarize someone's work and neglect to cite their source.

What are the causes of plagiarism?

Firstly Content creators who plagiarize mostly lack the skill to make their own quality content.
Authors spend a lot time and effort when making their content because they want the content to be of valuable when it goes out into the public.

Secondly, people who plagiarize want to steal an author’s content because it has made a lots of profit or name for that author.

When an author creates a content that has made lots of profit the one who steals it then realizes that content for him/her to make profit from it.

Avoiding plagiarism

Firstly, when you use another author’s work you have to credit the author.
Secondly, always cite the source you have taken the content from.

Thirdly, use plagiarism checker before you submit.
This is the little tips I can say about plagiarism on steemit.
Remarks
I have read and understood the steemit etiquette on steemit community and I will do all my best possible to embrace them at the end of this task post.
