SECURITY

Dear reader, for any organization to grow, a key ingredient is needed, which is “Security”. Without this key factor, an establishment is prone to unwanted events which are mostly negative on impact, leaving such victims vulnerable. Meanwhile security is the precaution taken to prevent various malicious attacks.

STEEM SECURITY PRECAUTIONS

Dear reader, to ensure a safe and smooth transaction of steem, steemit has provide various precautions in order to secure to earnings. Security precautions including:

1. STEEMIT PRIVATE KEYS:

Private posting key

Used to log into apps such as Steemit.com and perform social actions such as posting, commenting and voting.

Private memo key

Used to decrypt private transfer memos.

Private active key

Used for monetary and wallet related actions, such as transferring tokens or powering Steem up and down

Private owner key

This key is used to reset all your other keys. It is recommended to keep it offline at all times. If your account is compromised, use this key to recover it between 30days at http://steemitwallet.com

2. YOUR STEEMIT PUBLIC KEY

Public keys are associated with usernames and are used to encrypt and verify messages. Your public keys are not required for login.

3. YOUR TRON ACCOUNT KEYS:

####TRON public key(TRON address)
Used for transfers. The public key is the address you send the token to.
####TRON private key
This private key has the highest authority on your TRON account. It is used for signing transactions of TRON.

STEEMIT WALLET

Dear reader, this is where all transactions on a users steemit account takes place. The wallet is divided into three major parts;

Steem wallet

For local transactions of a users steem.

Steem Power(SP) wallet

To store/collect Steem Power.

Steem Based Dollar(SBD) wallet

For Steem dollar transactions.

STEPS TO PERFORMING STEEM/SBD TRANSACTIONS

Open your “profile”

Click on “wallet”

Click on the three line at the top right corner of your screen

Click on “sign in”

Then input your username and posting key and sign into your wallet account

Then click on the alternative button on the steem balance to see different options for transactions.

Provide necessary keys and username if needed to complete any transaction of choice.
