Plagiarism to me is copying what doesn't actually belongs to you, using it as your own without giving credit to the real owner of the content that you copied and use.

  1. Using some else work and referring to it as your own work.

  2. Copying words or ideas from someone else without giving them credit for their ideas used.

  3. When you give incorrect information about the source of a quotation

PRACTICAL STEPS TO PREVENT PLAGIARISM

  1. Ensure to Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
  2. Don't just copy, Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own personal ideas).
  3. Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
  4. Use a plagiarism checker before you submit.
