"Achievement 4 by @tebohfaith Task: Applying Markdowns
Hello steemians, as excited as I am to complete this task, it has indeed given me tough time. Not as easy as I thought ut would be.
Ok then, so let's dive straight into it.
A post needs to be nicely formatted to be able to be read easily. Attractive results can be gotten by using some basic syntax and easy to remember commands.
This achievement task will be completed under the following sub headings:
■Headlines
■Text(justify, center alignment, shifting to the left and right, )
■How to add Subscript and Superscript
■Links
■Tables
■Quotes and Blockquotes
1.) Headline
Headlines are important as they show tge structure of your post and guide the eye of the reader.
This is done by putting a # on the leftof your word or sentence to make it a headline. As the number of # increases, the headline size decreases.
Ex:
Big
Bigger
Biggest
2.) Text
We can make a headline centered, italic, or strikethrough as follows:
a)Center
God is good
b)Italics
God is good
c)Strikethrough
God is good
▪︎ Center text
3.)How To add Subscript and Superscript
To make a jumber appear below the baseline;
Ex. Subscript
H20
Ex. Superscript

4.) Links
We can hide a link in a word or phrase using the parenthesis [] as follows;
Inline link
5.) Tables
A table can be created as follows:
HEADER 1 HERE | HEADER 2 HERE |
---|---|
CELL 1 here | CELL 2 here |
👇
NAMES | NUMBERS |
---|---|
Collins | 1st |
Faith | on |
Lynn | Absent |
6.)Quotes and Blockquotes
We often need to write a quote, or phrase that someone said or wrote. Hence, we use > infront of the sentence.
Ex.
Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye.
H. Jackson Brown.
