I'm loving this! though it took a while to making my achievement 3 post. The basic and most common definition of plagiarism could be the copy and past method that is the direct and most straightforward way of seeing plagiarism since almost every student have ever done this. To me, Plagiarism is stealing someone else ideas and representing them as yours whether in a full text copying and pasting method or the stealing of main content about any information on the internet and representing them as yours without acknowledging the main author or source without the main author authorization.

According to source

SOME COMMON TYPES OF PLAGIARISM ARE

  1. Global plagiarism which is representing someone else full write up text as yours, this a very heinous act which one must desist from committing such offence.

  2. Incorrect Citations could also be refer to plagiarism so we should double check always our name of references before publishing.

  3. Paraphrasing is a highly unacceptable behavior so we should stop re-writing others ideas and contents in our own language, that's still stealing and we should desist from that.

  4. Verbatim plagiarism which is directly copying a persons message into yours without giving a reference that is a direct copy and paste method

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

~ Be creative, write what you think about topics, Put your own ideas into a text.

~ Always cite your references, cross check to make sure its correct before you post.

~ We can always provide the source of our information through links too.

Steemit community does not allow plagiarism. This platform rewards people of their own content so representing someone's else to claim rewards is a very heinous thing to do. It's a huge crime on this platform and indulging in this act could multiple times will lead your account suspended from various communities you commit this crime.

Special thanks to @padmore and @cryptokannon for helping me make this post also @njaywan for his hard work here in Ghana.
