I have already finished my Achievement 2. And now I will complete my achievement 3 and share it with you. This achievement post is about plagiarism and citation methods. Steemit is a community where we can share our thoughts and ideas. These achievements will help us understand the benefits and effectiveness of appreciation.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the act if copying someone's work, idea, art, or literature. The act is frouned upon and seen as a form of theft according to some laws. Even though plagiarism is strictly prohibited in almost all activities, it is still a big problem in fields such as literature, music, and art. There are some ways to legally fight against someone who plagiarises another person's work, but not everyone getting plagiarised has the ability to take matters into court or in some form of a legal battle; mostly if the plagiariser is or is backed by bigger economic or legal entities.

Plagiarism is a form of fraud that should be weaved out from its core. This not only takes the credit and away from the original creators, it also damages the field of work.

Plagiarised research papers, artworks, and literature is regressive for these fields respectively.

To retain the legitimacy of these fields, it is essential that the instructions concerned with these fields become more strict regarding their anti-plagiarism program.

Cases of fraudulent work are all around as they are definitely not uncommon. It is mostly prevelant nowadays In the fields of academia and arts. This is enough to taint the legitimacy of academic fields and ruin arts by causing damage to original artists.

Citation is a way of giving credit to individuals for their creative and intellectual works that you utilized to support your research. For citation, we use ">" this sign and then write the words.

This is how we can give credit to the original content creator.
