Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is presenting someone else's work as yours . Copying from anywhere like website, research papers, books , friends, etc . It is like steeling someone's ideas, thoughts, thinking, etc and getting credit of their efforts. It is totally illegal however if you mention source it will not be considered illegal. Plagiarism is the representation of another authors language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as ones own original work
Plagiarism is considered as academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic
ethics. In simple words I should say that plagiarism is copying others work in your own research.

How to avoid plagiarism?

Plagiarism can be avoided by simply avoiding copy and paste. If you copy from somewhere use proper quotations and also cite your source. If you try to write someone else's ideas in your own words you should only do it when ideas are relevant . You must have herad that if you write someone elses ideas in your own words you need no citation but this is totally incorrect , you have to mention the original source even if you write someone else's ideas in your own words Information which is common knowledge like THE SKY IS BLUE doesn't need to be cited.

Types Of Plagiarism

• Complete Plagiarism : The word itself says complete means totally stolen content from others.If someone steals or copies entire work of others and that his/her own without giving proper citation or mentioning source that is known as complete plagiarism.

• Self Plagiarism : It occurs when somebody uses anyones previous assignment work without getting the permission of the writer.

We should avoid plagiarism as it is totally unethical.
