TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM :

Paraphrasing or incremental plagiarism is the common part of plagiarism. It has similar description to the pattern plagiarism. Though, the difference is that the copied work isn't mixed with new discoveries. When you paraphrase the main idea in your own words or style, the borrowed material stays the same throughout.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM :

Complete plagiarism is more common in academic writing than in content marketing or other types of online writing. This type of writing occurs when someone tries to submit an complete research as their own without contributing to the research.
For example, this means copying and pasting the main/original work in it's exact form. The only thing that is contributed is the authors name.

SELF PLAGIARISM :

Self plagiarism: Also known as auto plagiarism, it occur when you copy your own writing, whether knowingly or unknowing . Often the person in a self- plagiarism incident is summarizing their own work instead of writing a new piece from scratch on similar topic.
Many people many think that self plagiarism (auto plagiarism) is harmless because you aren't copying from someone. But, this type of plagiarism can be just as harmful as any other.
For example, If you are writing about something and you are apprehended plagiarizing, you could end up getting banned for copying content.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM :

Accidental plagiarism doesn't always happen purposely. It's still identified as plagiarism when a person copies another writing without knowing their source, just because the omission or incorrect citation was accidental doesn't mean plagiarism has not taken place. This is why it's important to monitor any work or piece of writing.

SOURCED-BASED PLAGIARISM :

Source-based plagiarism occur when misleading sources are involved. For instance, the writer may have two or more sources of information but only value one. Another example of source- based plagiarism would be when a writer quotes a non existent or wrong source.

COPY-PASTE PLAGIARISM :

Copy-paste plagiarism is also known as direct plagiarism, it is a professional form of pilfering another persons writing. As the name says, the writing is copied word for word and pasted into a new work. The writer then tries to give the information as their own. A word or two might be switched, but this type of plagiarism is too suspicious to be identified as paraphrasing.
