Hello everyone! the @sarakhan123 is again here with her achievement 3. The achievement 3 is actually about the plagiarism.

What is Plagiarism

When you copy someone else work and present it as your owns, it known as plagiarism. You take the idea of other without giving him the credit of that. Is can also be defined as pretending as the initiator of any thing which is not actually yours. Which actually belong to someone else. But you copied his idea from there, spin the words and present that work to your boss as its your own creation which in actual is not true at all.

It against the etiquettes. There are multiple tools available on internet to check the plagiarism. Some among them are paid some are available free to all.

Plagiarism is Unprofessional

• Plagiarism is act of stealing someone's idea and present it as yours. It's the act of theft as you steal the others wording to get the credit.
• Plagiarism can named you in the list of plagiarist which will be a hurdle in future in the way of your progress.
• Plagiarist get the idea of any project from others work, add it into their work without mentioning the real author and pretend as the initiator which is absolutely wrong.
• It can ruin all you popularity on your work area.
• Sometime the plagiarist get the reward of the work which he has stolen from others work as presented it as his owns. He was not the eligible for that reward but still he got. That's why it is considered as unprofessional act.

Multiple tools are available on internet to check the plagiarism. Some among them are paid some are available free to all. But some tools trap the users too. So be very careful while checking the plagiarism in you document online. Some authentic tools are:

How to Avoid Plagiarism

Try to create your homework after doing research on that. Conduct research, do proper study and put whatever you have understood by that in your own wording. If you need to copy someone other's work, mention the proper source and give him the credit of that. Do not copy without mentioning the source. It will protect you from being a plagiarist. When you start acknowledging that you need someone's help and use other work in yours in a proper way like give proper source of the site from where you have copied that work will make you mature. Multiple sites are there from where you can get the plagiarism free pictures.

If you want to take the images from google, then there are few steps to avoid the plagiarism.

When you search for any image, like flower images, on the internet, a new page is open with multiple flowers picture.

Click on the tool button on the manu bar.

Click on the Usage right

A drop down list open

Select the Creative common licence

All those images will be plagiarism free

How to give the source

When you take image or some paragraph from internet in your work, it is necessary to give proper source of that site from where you have taken that image. To give the source

Download the image from the google.

Copy the link of the cite from where you have downloaded the image.

Drag that image from your gallery and drop it to the steemit content.

Write the word source. Select it

a manu bar will be opened when you select the text on steemit. Select the small icon i marked in the below screen short.

paste the copied link there.

Click on ok and yeah! the source is mentioned there. Now when you will click on that word, you will go to that site from where you have copied that image.
