Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Voting and Curation are part of the Proof of Brain indices which acts as a rewarding tool to author's posting activities on the platform. For one to say that voting/Curation has effectively and efficiently taken place, a post has to meet the curators qualitative and impactful needs. Just like what we have in the CryptoAcademy where a student attends to a task and the professor comes to grade and review the task based on the quality of the job done. Hence after grading, it is now the work of the curator (and in this case, the steemit team) to come and place a vote in line with the grading received by the given post.

But generally, we have seen situations where two different posts have the graded points but with different values from the curator when there is an upvote. This kind of scenario is greatly influenced by the prevailing value of Steem in the trade (the higher the value, the higher the rewards received and vice versa) as well as the voting Mana or strength of the account.

The Voting Strength or Mana of an account done on 100% capacity is seen to depreciate after each voting activity by 2%. And one's account is supposed to recharge by 20% daily it is ideal to place a maximum number of 10 votes to other accounts to continue to enjoy voting at full capacity. This does not stop account users not to vote when their accounts are below 80% voting strength, it only entails that their voting value would reduce in line with the voting Mana present.

Moreover, I can decide to be an author and only concentrate on full curation and voting activities. Its reward pattern also works like that of the Authors' who writes and its posts get voted for. In curation/voting, the curator receives 50% of whatever value that was voted on a given post whereas the remaining 50% goes to the author's post. Therefore, it is a two side of a coin where the user determines how to earn from the system which can either be of the two or both same time.

What happened if you vote for a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

The system has positioned itself to work in line with when voting is carried out on a post. It is known that the age of a post determines what the curator gets when it places an upvote on a post. This is very important to the curator who does not want to lose out from the reward scheme and hence align itself to the timeliness involved during curation.

Let us also note that this scenario also plays out when the post gets towards its expiry date. We also have a percentage ratio that goes back into the reward pool just as demonstrated above.

Since my entrance into the Steemit Community, one of the third-party apps that have kept me glued to my account with all details provided to me in a glance is Steemworld.org. I can conveniently explore all activities that have happened in my account with other proffered solutions in view.

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

I have joined a relatively smaller community for now before when I can explore and be diverse in my writings which would make more room for multiple communities. For now, I have Joined Financial Security due to its everyday financial implications in our daily lives. Here, other community members are seen to drop qualitative posts that guide one's financial prudence and consciousness.

Also, I have joined the Steem Foods community. As an event planner with majors in the food section needed a platform that would help me display and reach out to a larger audience on the beauty of what I do for passion.
Other communities include the Steemit Nursery to relate to other steemit members and share ideas on how to be best in the platform as well as our Diaries as we soldier on.
