Achievement 3 by @sammiekhay Task : Content Etiquette
Hello great fellow Steemians, I greet you all.
As a recommendation for a newbie on this platform, I am required to complete all the achievements as a beginner and this is my post on ACHIEVEMENT 3 on PLAGIARISM as one of the important CONTENT ETIQUETTE on the platform. Let’s all go through it.
In my understanding, Plagiarism is a very big offence where people use other people’s work or words and make it appear as theirs without appreciating the people or website they got them from. Plagiarism is one delegate aspect in this wonderful platform that is really given attention to and looked out for in our work and posts posted on this platform and so we must desist and avoid committing it since it is not encouraged here.

In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. As steemians, we are to produce and create original content and with so doing, we can avoid plagiarism which we all know is not tolerated here. At a point where we are to cite or copy and paste something like a text or writing which obviously is another person’s work, we must do so by citing the source and provide websites or links to get access to that text or writing and even images. On the Steemit platform, we can as well use citation markup or the copied and pasted statement should be put in quotation marks.
We should not try to gain votes or make money through other people’s work because, it is not appropriate and it’s unacceptable here on this platform. Let’s all make it a big point to stay away from plagiarism so our reputation won’t be affected negatively.

39% of your work was copied and pasted which is not a good sign for a task on plagiarism and nethiquettes please avoid direct copying and pasting, i however believe you have understood and would thus give you the opportunity to proceed.
