Hello steemit family, it is another great day, as part of my roadmap to knowing the work of the Steem ecosystem, I’ve dedicated some time to learn the applications of the various markdowns to be used in the steem editor and this is my achievement 4 as being guided by @cryptokannon and @njaywan. Markdowns are very essential in creating blog posts, as it makes it possible to add some useful features such as images, links, videos, quote and many others in one’s post. Below are some of the mark downs I have in as much as the application of the markdowns is concerned.

Making Headings
Headings form an important role in making a good blog post or a presentation, it helps those viewers to get to know the important aspect and the main issues an author of the post is writing about.
To add a heading, bring a hashtag/s(#) and a space before the text, the number of hashtags determine the rank of the heading, the size of the heading decrease as the number of hashtags(#) increases, below is a demonstration:

    Example
      # Example 1
      ## Example 2
      ### Example 3
      #### Example 4
      ##### Example 5
      ###### Example 6

Result

Example 2

Example 3

Centering a Text

      Example
<center>I have just centred this text </center>

Result

I have just centred this text

Adding a Subscript

   Example
   This is a subscript

This is a subscript
Note: To add a superscript, use sup instead of sub

Adding Quotes- Blockquotes

Quotes are usually added in order to indicate that the statement or syntax being used is quoted from a different source or from someone. This helps to write plagiarism free presentstion.
To add a quote, the > is used just before the statement
Example
> I have quoted this
Result

I have quoted this

Bolding a text

To make a text bold, start the text a bring two stars (**) both before and after the text.
Note: to make a text italic, bring one star instead of two stars before and after the text.

Tables

To add a table, follow this syntax...

  1st Header|2nd Header
  ---------|------------
  Ghana|Naija
  Togo|India

Result

1st Header2nd Header
GhanaNaija
TogoIndia

Adding a Link

Bringing @ before a user’s name creates a link for the profile of the user that when clicked, will toggle to the profile of that particular user. Or better still you can use the syntax below

[Text here](Link here)

so that when the text is clicked on, it will lead to the link.

Image Alignment

Images can be aligned left right or center with this syntax below

     <div class='pull-left>Image Link</div>
Thank you for reading, these are part of what I've learnt about markdowns so far
The Image is aligned left, then any other text like this one will appear here
