Once again, Greetings from me to you in this wonderful community. I'm glad I'm nearing the end of my Achievements; believe me, it hasn't been easy, but I'm happy to have made it thus far and I believe I've gotten a lot of insight about this platform. So, here's how I'm going to show it in Achievement6 task "Understanding Curation and Community."

QUESTION 1

Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

I do understand We can obtain curation rewards on Steemit if we have enough steem power SP to vote for others. Voting on Steemit earns you a prize called curation, which is a reward for voting. Curators (those who voted for the post) receive half of the post reward, while the author receives the other half (sothat wrote the post).The amount of SP a user possesses determines how the curation incentive is distributed. The more steem power you have, the more power you have over the curation reward. The green colouring icon for "upvotes" and the red colouring icon for "downvotes" are required for voting on steemit. There is a concept known as voting mana.
It's a bar that shows how much of a user's steem power was utilised to vote on posts, with each percentage power defined by your steem power.
You can use steemdb.io or steemscan.com, in checking their voting mana, but I prefer Steemd.com as it shows even one's downvote manna, Resource credits and time it will take to recharge manna used.

QUESTION 2

What happens if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

In general, we know that the author receives 50% of the compensation, while the curator receives the remaining 50%. As a result, if we vote before the 5 minute mark after posting, we will receive less than 100% by a factor of 50%. That means the curator can receive 100% of the after 5 minutes of the content being published.

It also depends on the duration of each minute. To make it easier to understand, I've divided it into categories based on duration.

QUESTION 3

Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?

Because of the wonderful job they do in the development Dapps and day to day running of the steem block chain, I've voted for the likes of @steemchiller @justyy @steem-gora etc since I have the ability to vote at least 30 witness. With the experience I've gained through writing my Achievements, especially Achievement 5.
I chose to vote them because the steem blockchain requires witnesses to create blocks and uses a consensus mechanism known as Delegated Proof of Stake.

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

After creating my account, the first thing I did was subscribe to communities that I can relate with and has time went on, I joined a few more and I hope there's no limit on it? Below are some of the communities I relate very well with.

NEWCOMER'S COMMUNITY:

This is an essential community for me, I was able to gain the required knowledge about the steemit platform and how to go about my day to day activities on steemit through their Achievements.

STEEMCRYPTO ACADEMY :

This is a community I've always wanted to join and participate cause of my interest in learning more about cryptocurrency, a popular trend among young people of today and I'd love to participate in such a discussion but I still can't just yet cause I haven't meet their requirements of 150SP, just crossed over the 50 reputation tag few hours ago.

WORLD OF FOOTBALL :

@Worldoffootball is my second home, this community is also an important one for me because I love football, actually sports in general but football takes centre stage. I would have love to keep on playing, but my career ended long time ago, so I have to settle for the Referees badge, still working on that too.
