How Voting & Curation Works On Steemit
Voting is the primary condition to earn it a curation rewards. You can upvote anyone all you need to do just one click and it's done. There are the two buttons (green for upvote and red for downvote). You can upvote based on good content it will not cost your steem. When you can click downvote based on bad content.
Steemit does not pay the users for their post. There is a fixed reward pool on steem blockchain.Author is rewarded by a author rewards.
I'm a new user so that I can vote only at 100% voting strength; however, once we reach at 5000 Steem Power. We will see a vote slider appear when you vote. The slider lets you change the strength of your vote. You can adjust it based on how much you like each post and how many times you want to vote each day.
Curation reward is quite easy to understand. The distributing of the rewards is 50% of the payout goes to the author of the post/comment, and 50% goes to the curator.
Curation Reward Distribution (author vs curators)
The split of 50% payout to and 50% of the reward distribution receives during the first 5 minutes is calculated linearly based on the time the vote is cast.
Time | Curator Rewards | Rewards in pool |
---|---|---|
The moment of posting | 0% | 100% |
At 1 minutes | 20% | 80% |
At 2 minutes | 40% | 60% |
At 3 minutes | 60% | 40% |
At 4 minutes | 80% | 20% |
At 5 minutes ( or More ) | 100% | 0% |
How witnesses works in steemit
The STEEM blockchain requires a set of people to create blocks and uses a consensus mechanism called Delegated Proof of Stake. Anyone willing to contribute to the Blockchain may become a Witness however they must be elected through votes made by the Steemit Community. The people delegated to create blocks are called or referred to as witnesses.
In my personal opinion, I would like to vote for @steemchiller and @justyy who are the developers of SteemWorld.org and Steemyy.com respectively. It's because these steem tools are in use of my daily steem blogging. I gather information about my account almost daily.
Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?
There are many communities are available on steem ecosystem. In which, members post very good content. I went through some other communities and check it a good content read and which have a particular vision.
So that is the communities i have joines and tried to made a active member.
