There are some security measures which every steemian should know.

We should keep all keys safe so that no anyone could reach. In that case we can loss our account and balance.

These are some very important keys to use steemit platform:

Master Password.
Owner key.
Active key.
Posting key.

Now you'll ask what are the functions of these keys? The function of these keys are as follows:

Functions of keys:

Master password:
Master password is used to derive all keys including the owner key. If someone know your master password they can steal your account and tokens in it. So save your master password and keep it safe somewhere else or write it on paper and keep it safe.

Owner key:
This key allows you to change any key of an account, including the owner key. It is better to use it offline and only use to recover a compromised account.

Active key:
This key includes most sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, powering up/down steem, converting steem dollars, voting for witness, updating profile details and avatar and placing market orders. We should also keep it safe in written on paper.

Posting key:
This key allows you to.post, comment, edit, resteem and follow or mute other accounts. Most of tje users should be logging steemit using posting key. You are more likely to have your password or key comprised the more you use it so a limited posting key exists to restrict the damage that a compromised account key could cause.

Plan to keep Mater password safe:

I saved my master by written it on a paper and keep it on safe and secure place.

Instructions to transfer tokens:
We can transfer tokens by using active key and can also convert steem dollars and voting for witness.

Instructions to power up Steem:
To powering up your steem follow these steps,

• Go to your wallet.
• Click on the drop down box on left.
• Scroll down and choose "Power up".
• Now the screen will ask you the amount of liquid steem you want to power up.
• Select amount and click on "Power up" button.
  After some seconds your steem power will be increased.
