Plagiarism. etc

Plagiarism are one of the guideline found steemit. Plagiarism is the act of copying one else idea or work and taking them as your own.
Plagiarism is when you take a work that is not your authorship. This is usually seen in social media and platform. It is one of the common rule people failed to follow in steemit.

Type of plagiarism

Self-plagiarism: This is when an author uses his copywrite work in another work without attributing the previous work. In steemit, it can be case of when one use the same picture in a former post to another post.

How to avoid plagiarism

  • We should try and develop our own style of work
  • When copying, use the direct reference cite to describe, that is other person work
  • We should try and use a plagiarism checker before we post
  • We should use proper quote source when citing.

E.g of a cited work

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution. Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics.
