Goal of this task is:

Steemains are meant to digest the notion of proof of brain. That is to say, steemains should inculcate the habit of creating and sharing original contents void of plagiarism and follow the existing etiquette of steem community.

The concept of proof of brain is talking about how steemiy community encourages people that can formulate original and educative contents, void of plagiarism and make it available to the steemit community and the public at large, with a fee-less token (known as STEEM)

Since steemit rewards your effort in providing flawless posts, you are expected to cite your source of information, if for any reason you should use an already published work.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism simply put, is the act of presenting someone else's idea or publication or part of someone else's work as your own idea without the permission of the original writer nor citing the original writer. I.e embedding someone's work into your writing without their consent.

FORMS OF PLAGIARISM

There are different forms of plagiarism which may include:

• Unintentional plagiarism
  Atimes because of ignorance or forgetfulness, a writer fails to cite sources of plagiarised portions of their work. That is to say that not all plagiarised work are done intentionally.

• Copying and pasting from site.
  The writer should paste link of works copied from internet as reference must be made.

• Verbatim citation without avowal
  In such post, citation to the main post should be made using the original source.

• Wrong quotation
  It is expedient to rightly quote your source of information. And if for any reason information about the primary source is not available, cite the secondary source.

• Paraphrasing
  In this form of plagiarism, the writer edits the work or the author follows the original writer's format.

Why plagiarism matters

It is a form of respect from the plagiariser to the original writer of the sentence, paragraph or the content as a whole by quoting the writer or your source of information.

Reasons to avoid plagiarism

There are numerous reasons to desist from plagiarism, which may include:

• lack of ability to create an original work.
  It will be likely impossible for a writer to create an original work if he/she inculcates the habit of plagiarising someone else's writeup.

• Reduction in your potentials
  Plagiarism reduces your ability tovprovide the steemit community with pure/raw work from your brain, overwriting the purpose of use of brain.
