I hope everyone is doing excellently well, I am terrific and i will be showing basic security on steemit

1)Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes I have, during registration the first key i came in contact with was my master key, i also learnt it is the strongest key among other keys. I went to my steemit wallet and i got the other keys which are:

• Active key
• Posting key
• Owner key
• Memo key

2).Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes I do, Each of these keys listed above perform their functions differently from the other, as much as these keys perform their individual functions there are limits as well as restriction to using these keys.

Active key
Active key is used to perform all monetary related activities it include

• Transfer and exchange of tokens
• It is used to place an order or an exchange.
• It is used to change certain profile if need for change arises.
  This key is extremely important and should bolt be used carelessly,if someone else gains access to this key there is a tendency that money from your account will be taken, store it in a safe place to avoid losing tokens later in the future.

Posting keys
This key has the name implies is used for social networking activities like voting,posting,commenting, resteem,follow and edit a post. This key is not used for any monetary transactions. You cannot lose money even if someone else gains access to the key.

Owner key
This is the most important key and should be securely kept for safety purpose, This key is used to decline voting rights,recover someone's account or rest any of these keys(Active,posting and owner keys).

Memo key
Memo key is not commonly used but then it has its own functions. It is used to send an encrypted message or to decipher an encrypted message. This means that if you receive a private message that is encrypted you can decrypt using memo key.

3) How do you plan to keep your master password?

My master key is very important because without it my steemit account is lost. I plan to save it in my gmail account because of unforseen circumstances like my phone getting missing,I can easily retrieve it back by logging into my gmail with another device and I can also save it in my archives.

4)Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

These are the steps to take to transfer steem to another user account.

• Login to your wallet
• Click on the arrow next to the steem with the amount showing.

• Then click on transfer

• You can now write the amount you want to transfer and then click on next

• It will take you to another page to confirm the transfer and then click on OK to confirm the transfer.

5)Do you know how to power up your steem?

• I have 2.491 steem power,click on the same arrow you clicked for transfer, you'll see power
  up option.

• Click on the power up, it will show the next page where you will now input the amount you want to power up and then click power up.
