Hello Steemians. My name is Ravi kumar. Hope you all are doing great. I have posted my Achievements 1 and 2 task in the Steemit Newcomer's community and so now I am posting my Achievement 3 in Steemit Newcomer's Community.

What is plagiarism?
plagiarism is presenting someone else's work or ideas as pretending they are your own with or without their permission, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement is covered under this definition.

Plagiarism can also be called content theft. The Plagiarism is theft and as such a copyright offence and it is like stealing someone content without acknowledge their credits. The using of plagiarism is illegal and it is against the law and order.

Hence we should create our own contents to avoid plagiarism!

What are the types of Plagiarism?
There are many types of Plagiarism but in all this these are the 5 most common types of plagiarism:

  1. Global plagiarism: It means plagiarizing an
entire text by someone else.Because it
involves deliberately and directly lying about
the authorship of a work, this is one of the
most serious types of plagiarism, and it can
    have severe consequences.

  2. Direct plagiarism: the Direct plagiarism occurs
at the time of copying a section of someone
work without using quotation marks to mean
that the text is copied word for word.

  3. Incremental plagiarism : This means inserting
a small amount of plagiarized content which
is mostly undetectable in a mostly original
    content.

  4. Self-plagiarism : It means
    publishing/recycling your own previous
    work/content that you’ve already submitted
    or published somewhere.
Basically it means using your own content
    twice.

  5. Accidental Plagiarism: A plagiarism which
occurs when someone is not aware of the post
he is posting is already posted. This type of
plagiarism mostly happens with the students
when they research from the same source.

How to Avoid Plagiarism.Giving proper cites to sources.
The easiest way to avoid plagiarism is to always cite your own sources. But you also need to make sure that you have properly integrated them into your text by either paraphrasing or quoting.

I want to mention some points to avoid Plagiarism are as follows:

  1. Cite your sources scrupulously.

  2. Understand and read good paraphrasing.

  3. Do not use paraphrasing tools.

  4. Avoiding plagiarism when quoting.

Citation Method:
Citations in your content/source is necessary to provide credit to the proper owner; failure to cite properly could lead to plagiarism.

Example of Citation:
There are so many species of animals in the world. The entire animal world may be classified into five types. They are amphibians, reptiles, mammals, birds, and insects. The animals that live both on land and in water have moist skin and no scales on body are called amphibians. The toad and the frog are the two good examples of amphibians.
