Hello everybody. Hopefully, all of you will be well and happy. As I have completed by 3 Achievement Tasks so now I am going forward to complete Achievement 4. Have a look.
Today, I am going to talk about the biggest problem that the world is facing, I mean Corona Virus.
Corona Virus
We are all infected with the current COVID-19 epidemic. However, the effects of epidemics and their consequences are felt differently depending on our status as individuals and members of society. While some people try to work online, do homework for their children, and order food through Instagram, others have no choice but to become infected while working in the community. Our different social identities and the social groups we belong to determine our participation in society and, by extension, determine our risk for infectious diseases.
COVID-19 is killing people on a large scale. As of October 10, 2020, more than 7.7 million people in each state in the United States and its four regions have tested positive for COVID-19. The virus has killed at least 213,876 people in the United States, according to the New York Times database. However, these dangerous numbers give us only half of the picture. A closer look at data from different social identities (such as class, gender, age, race, and medical history) reveals that minorities are disproportionately affected by infectious diseases. These minorities in the United States are not getting their right to health.
According to the World Health Organization, bridging the generation gap: Health equality through action on social determinants of health,
"Poor and unequal living conditions are the results of deep structural conditions that affect the way society is organized."
Together - poor social policies and programs, unfair economic arrangements, and bad politics. American communities in the United States. I acknowledge that the epidemic has had and continues to have devastating effects on other minorities, but space does not allow this article to explore the effects it has on other minority groups.
