What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism means taking or copying ,
• Ideas,
• Words,
• Thoughts,
• Pictures,
• Concepts,
• Sentences of others without mentioning or permission and presenting them as their own.

When it is described in some other way, it is the representing the words or ideas of another person or presenting someone else's words, ideas as they own it.

If someone extract something as it is and publish it in his article with the relevant references, then it is not under the Plagiarism.

Types of Plagiarism

According to the Bowdine education web, plagiarism has been categorized into 4 sections as,

1. Direct Plagiarism : Transcription of word for word without citing the extract source.

2. Self Plagiarism : Use the same thing owned by himself and also many people has been contributed to the original post.

3. Mosaic Plagiarism: Use synonyms for original post or borrow phrases of an article without quotation mark.

4. Accidental Plagiarism: Unintentionally copy and paste from an article.

Most plagiarisms are deliberate; it’s a kind of theft. But it can be occur due to many other reasons such as hurrying, carelessness, mistakenly etc.

But Plagiarism may be harmful to the original author because his knowledge and effort for writing an article would go invaid when some one steel his originals.

Also plagiarism may lead to someone's educational ability.

Plagiarism is a common problem in everywhere. There are many reasons or causes for this. The major cause is freely available sources in nowadays such as internet. Most of the children especially students try to use internet for completing their academic stuff. They may use various web sites or search engines such as google in order to find necessary facts.

Therefore we shall AVOID THE PLAGIARISM.

This is my #achievement3 post.
