What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism can be said to be the act or process of copying and publishing someone's work without according them the credits they deserve.
It is also know as intellectual theft because directly or indirectly you have stolen someone else's intellectual hard work.

Most people after reading the synopsis would lean towards the train of thought that they are not plagiarists without considering the fact that although plagiarism is in most cases intentional,one could easily commit the crime of plagiarism without even knowing that he or she did so.
I would like for you to stick around and learn how to avoid this common intellectual felony.

How do i stop plagiarism??

Well a few tips on how you can curb plagiarism on steemit includes:

1. Always cite your source. You can do this on steemit by adding ".source" after quoting someone's work and linking the url to ".source"

2. You can always get an idea from an author or soemone else but try to put it in your own words and how best describes your understanding of the said topic.

3. Try as much as possible to include instances and examples whilst writing your work in other to buttress your work and making you work more understandable.

4. Many tools exist online that are used to check for plagiarism in its wildest of forms.You can always use one check for the authenticity of a post.

Conclusion:

I can say now that i do understand more about the steem etiquettes and more about plagiarism.
