"Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism

"In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on the institution." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism

"Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school or work, substantial fines and even imprisonment." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism

How to avoid plagiarism

Remember your sources: When making research, it's good to write down sources so as to not take on somebody's work as yours.

Always remember to cite your sources: You can do this by putting up a "" sign at the beginning and end of a direct quote and ending it with the link to the source where the direct quote is from.
Using a plagiarism checker is also a great way to avoid plagiarism

I understand that plagiarism is really bad and that I should always cite my sources
