INTRODUCTION

Hello and good day great steemians. My lovely name is @patienceotis. Today I will be doing my achievement 4, so far all my achievement posts have been verified I want to say a big thank you to @ steemit and @steemalive community for that. Today I will be taking about female menstrual hygiene product pad.

A sanitary napkin, sanitary towel, feminine napkin, sanitary pad, menstrual pad, or pad is an absorbent item worn by women in their underwear when menstruating, bleeding after giving birth, recovering from gynecologic surgery, experiencing a miscarriage or abortion, or in any other situation where it is necessary to absorb a flow of blood from the vagina.

Pads are menstrual hygiene products that is made out of absorbent materials like cotton and also soft ploymers. They are woman by females during their menstrual period. It can also be used during bleeding after child birth. This pads are worn externally unlike other menstrual products like TAMPONS
We have so many pad companies you can chose whichever one is comfortable for you

TAMPONS; This are cylindrical menstrual hygiene products. They can be unserted into the vagina to absorb blood.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PADS AND TAMPONS

PADS	TAMPONS

•Pads are made of absorbent materials like cotton and polymer	are made out of cotton, rayon or a mix of both materials.

•You can't swim with pads	You can swim with tampons

•pad most times are visible when you wear tight clothing	They are invisible they can't be seen even if you wear tight clothing

• Easy to use	They are harder to insert

• There is almost no risk of toxic shock (TTS) when you use pad	There is high risk of toxic shock when you use tampons.

BENEFITS OF USING PAD

As a lady you personal hygiene should be your number one priority. Mostly during your period you need to take proper care of yourself to avoid body odour. During this period your system is prone to different diseases.

1 They can be worn for up to 12hours but for good and proper hygiene I will advice you use it for 8hours.

2 You can wear then with anything .

3 If they are properly fixed you can't feel them. They are very comfortable

4 They are disposable.

CONCLUSION

This topic I chose is very personal to me. I love to educate people on good and proper hygiene. I feel this is one thing we owe for bodies.
