Voting and curation is a good way to encourage users to keep making posts. They are sometimes used to show that a pos is of high standards. Because posts without that many voters aren’t looked at. So, for voting and curation, I understand how it works now.
We have what we call the reward pool. Of which everyone gets his or her reward to form it. Authors get author rewards and curator gets curator rewards. So, when a post is made and a user immediately makes a vote on it, it has benefits and disadvantages. Below is a table explaining what happens when a user curator a post under the 5 minutes of it being posted
Minute (s) | Curator Reward (%) | Amount in Reward Pool (%) |
---|---|---|
1 | 20 | 80 |
2 | 40 | 60 |
3 | 60 | 40 |
4 | 80 | 20 |
5 or above | 100 | 0 |
This is what happens when you vote before the first 5 minutes.
The witness is doing a great job in making the ecosystem grow. I have seen @xpillar do a great job both in the creation of the curation trail and also owning a community that is doing great in the ecosystem. I will vote for @xpillar.
I will join the @steem-ghana community. It has been doing great to motivate users to keep going even though votes aren’t easy to come by. Their country reps and leaders are doing a great job and I like a community like that. It will make everyone grow.
Thanks for this achievement @cryptokannon.
Hi, @pandev,
Your post has been supported by @nattybongo from the Steem Greeter Team.
Thanks
Thanks for your completion of the achievement task. My pleasure 😃
Hello bro,
I believe you understand the curation and community system but didn't take time to explain in your task. What happens when the post is 6 1/2 days old and you vote and from then till day 7. I believe you could have done so much better though.
