What is plagiarism?

In my own way, I would define plagiarism as the act of copying other peoples work or idea from A-Z and paste without making any referencing.
Let me break down what plagiarism mean for easy understanding. For instance, am writing an article about my self, I start by writing my name, location, hobbies and age, all these about me. Suddenly another writer showed up and copy exactly what I put down from the beginning to the end, including copying my name and paste it else where, that is what plagiarism is all about.
It is an illegal act of using someone else's idea or thought without any reference.
