Achievement Two Task: Basic Security On Steemit @ onyisteve on 19/4/2021

Good day to all the steemians in the house, hope you all are doing great. Welcome to my achievement 2 task. Am here to share my knowledge about the basic keys on steemit.

HAVE YOU RETRIEVE ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?
Yes I have retrieved all my keys and have safeguard it by printing them out.

DO YOU KNOW THE FUNCTIONS OF EACH KEYS AND RESTRICTIONS?

Absolutely yes, we have TRON Public Key (TRON Address), TRON Private Key, Private Posting Key, Private Memo Key, Private Active Key, Private Owner Key and Master Password

TRON PUBLIC KEY ( TRON Address): TRON Public Key is a key used to make transfer.

TRON PRIVATE KEY: TRON Private key is an essential key that is use for freezing, transferring tokens and voting

PRIVATE POSTING KEY: Private Posting key is used to login an account, it also allow you to post, vote, edit, comment and delete etc.

PRIVATE MEMO KEY: Private Memo key is a key that decrypt private transfer memos.

PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY: Private Active key is used for wallet related actions like powering steem up and down or transferring tokens

PRIVATE OWNER KEY: Private Owner key is a key use to recover your account if it is compromised.

MASTER PASSWORD: This is a password that is used in generating other key and should be kept in a safe place

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?

The best way to safeguard your master password is by writing them down on your diary or printing them out. Aside from master password it is not advisable to save your keys on Google drive or e-mail in case of hackers, even the one on your PDF is not even save cause u might lost your phone.

HOW DO YOU POWER-DOWN YOUR STEEM ?

1. Login to your steem wallet then input your user name and active key.
2. Click on the drop down arrow beside your steem.
3. Input the amount you want to power down and then click on the power down, option.
   
   
   

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM ACCOUNT

1. Login to your steemit wallet using any of your browser.
2. Input your user name and your active key
3. Click on the drop down arrow beside your steem then click on transfer
4. Input your username, the receiver's username and the amount.
