plagiarism is presenting of
someone's work or idea as your own
without their knowledge, by adding it
into your work without citation or reference to author of the original work.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
Direct plagiarism:
Direct plagiarism as the name
implies is using word for word copying and pasting of another person's work.
Self plagiarism:
Self plagiarism is the reusing of one
work or idea from their recently
submitted work
Global plagiarism:
Global plagiarism is the presentation of an entire body or text by someone else as if it is your own work.
Mosaic plagiarism:
The Combination of text and ideas from different sources without referencing or citating them

Plagiarism is dangerous in many ways, for students, professionals and in the
academic area, may also have ones career completely destroyed due to plagiarism and may lose their current position in their career.Plagarism can make you loose the chances of genieuly gaining new knowledge and improve writing skills and also enhance thinking skills.
WAYS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Always Keep track of the sources you consult in your every research.
Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and also add your own ideas)
Always give credit to the original author in a text citation and reference list.
use a plagiarism checker to review your work before you submit it.
