ACHIEVEMENT 2 @olachi Task:BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT

Hi everyone,
I would be doing my Achievement 2 task today on basic security on steemit

STEEMIT KEYS
These are keys that grants different access in performing operations in steemit. These keys are also personal and should not be shared with anyone in other not to put your account at risk.

TYPES OF KEYS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS
MASTER PASSWORD:
The master password is created at sign up and should be kept safe because all the keys are gotten from it.

OWNER KEY:
Owner key can be used to replace other keys and also to recover your account when at risk.

ACTIVE KEY:
The active key grants the user access the wallet. Its used for transferring of funds, power Steem up/down, placing market order, voting for witnesses.

POSTING KEY:
The posting key grants the user access to comment, post, edit, up vote, and to mute accounts.

MEMO KEY:
These key is used for encryption and decryption of memos.

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TO ANOTHER STEEM ACCOUNT

• Login my wallet with the required key.

• Click the arrow beside your Steem balance. It brings out more options, then click on transfer.

• You can fill in the account your transferring to and click on Next.

HOW TO POWER UP STEEM

• Input your wallet key
• Click on the steem arrow .it brings out more options.

• Click on the power up option.

fill in the amount and click on the power up button. it then displays a confirmation message showing that your Steem power has increased.

IN SUMMARY
Understanding the steemit keys and how they work, you can see that they are very important and necessary. So one should try to keep it safe because when lost, canoot be retrieved
