ACHIEVEMENT 3: CONTENT ETIQUETTE TASK BY @OBINNA4008
Hello my fellow Steemians, I'm so happy that my achievement task 2 has been verified thanks @crptokannon, which has given me the opportunity to proceed to achievement task 3 which is content etiquette.
Plagiarism shouldn't be a culture that any writer should exhibit because it's an illegal act where a writer makes use of other writers content without citing the original owner which serves as disrespect. "Plagiarism can be defined as the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work".
I will be discussing about the types of plagiarism such as:
• Self Plagiarism is refers to when an author create a content that's has his previous personal work in it. It not of a serious consequence as there is no third party involved. But it not the best practice for an author.
• Complete Plagiarism is when a writer steals someone's research or writing and uses their name as a writer or communicator with others.
• paraphrasing Plagiarism This includes using someone else's writing with some minor modifications in the sentence and using it as your own. although the sentences vary, the exact concept remains the same and plagiarism occurs.
"A citation is the way you tell your readers that certain material in your work came from another source. It also gives your readers the information necessary to find the location details of that source on the reference or Works Cited page."
