Good day my fellow Steemians, am here to complete my achievement task 2. A day before yesterday being Sunday @basky14 introduced me to this social media platform which I found interesting and educative.

Achievement task 2 is all about being security conscious by protecting your keys, from third party and keeping them somewhere save in other not to misplaced them.

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on Steemit?

Yes I have retrieved all my keys on Steemit because immediately I got registered I downloaded a PDF file which contains all my keys.

Question 2
Do you know each of this key functions and restrictions

Yes I know about the keys which includes:

1. Memo key
2. Owner key
3. Active key
4. Posting key

FUNCTIONS OF THE KEYS

Memo key: memo key is used to encode and decode messages. It also serve as a tool for protecting information.

Owner key: owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account, including the owner key. Perhaps, it is meant to be stored offline, and mostly used to recover a compromised account.

Active key: performs more relevant and sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, converting Steem dollar, voting for witness, power up/down transactions, updating profile details and avatar and a placing market order.

Posting key: this keys assist the user to post, comment, vote, resteem and follow or mute other accounts.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password
I plan to save my master password in a hard drive such as flash drive, disc and printing the keys on a hardcopy.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another Steem user account?

Yes I know how to transfer my Steem token to another account. All I need to do is to click on my Steemit wallet then click on the drop-down arrow on Steem.

Options will come out then I click on transfer

Then add the receivers username, and amount then click on Next

Then i click on Ok

A fresh page will come up then I add either of your Active or Owner or master password then click sign in.

Questions 5
Do you know how to power up your Steem?
Yes what you have to do is click on wallet and then click on steem.

After i must have clicked Steem, options will come up then I click on power up

Then I enter the amount that will be converted into steem power and click power up.

Then I click Ok to confirm the transfer.

The click sign in to complete the process after I must have added the Owner or master password or Active key.
