The importance of headings or titles can not be overlooked in our publications. The reader can easily grasp the main content from the headings. This gives the reader a full overview of the topic.

You must use the pound sign (#) in the first row of the post while taking a course. Specifically, at the beginning of the row. The length of the title is defined by the number of hashtags used. The size of the title decreases as the number of hashtags (#) increases, and vice versa.

This is shown below here:

Title 1

Title 2

Title 3

Title 4

Title 5
Title 6

NB: you have to leave spaces between the hashtags and the sentences for them to work.

These are examples below shown:

-Quotes by blockquotes

Headline 1

Headline 2

Headline 3

Before the sentence, the > is used.

This is where the utilization of blockquotes is very necessary.

Here’s an example

Treat every part of the towel nicely, because the part that wipes your buttocks today will wipe your face tomorrow-Robert Mugabe

Aligning text in the middle

This is another important term in text formatting on the Steemit platform for good visualization to readers. Text or sentences are aligned with the use of the center tag to position the text in the middle. The text is closed between the opening and closing tags at the center to position it in the middle.

Here is an example.

Including a subscript

A Subscript is another tag used in text formatting. The text is written between the opening and closing tags of the subscript. The text would be written in the text baseline. This can also be used to give a brief description of pictures or videos.

For example,

Make a superscript.

This is done as a subscript and it is the opposite of the subscript. This adds text/phrase above the baseline.

For example,

Italicizing a text

This is another function to use in formatting text in Steemit. This is done by placing the text between an opening star (*) and a closing star.

italicize

To bold the text, put the text between the opening two stars and closing two stars
bold

To highlight the text, put the text between the two opening and closing equal signs.

This is for beginners' benefits and for the entire community. Thanks to all my friends for their guidance on this platform.
