Achievement 3 by @nehmah, Task: Content Etiquette
Good day steemians, am just coming up with my third achievement post and am going to be talking about plagiarism.
PLAGIARISM
This is the process of presenting someones work as your own, the process is know as stealing, because you are stealing from the owner.
It involves using ones idea, word and information from a source without linking the proper source of the information.
Being involved in plagiarism, u might lose the trust of people reading your content cause your not being real.
It is a serious crime to copy ones idea and creativity without the owners consent and permission and this act is considered as plagiarism.
There are serious implications when someone is found plagiarizing.
However, there are ways to avoid plagiarism without the risk of fines.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
When writing a content that's not yours, do well to add a citation in your writing which will identify the full details of the source.
If you included a content that's not yours into your writing, do well to use quotation marks around the text to make it known that the words aren't yours.
This is the act of rewriting a sources idea, turning it to your own words.
There are many reasons why to avoid plagiarism. We have to learn how to speak our own mind out not to initiate the work of others in ours.
It will be difficult though, but you are not expected to be the best writer but an independent one.
Why we should cite sources
- we cite to give acknowledgement to the authors if the source.
- To prevent one from getting lower grades.
- And lastly, to create your own work by giving out your own concepts.

Hello @nehmah, your post is not 100% original. I could fine traces of plagiarism in your post. The practice of copy and past is not tolerated on the steemit platform, do as much to stay away from such practice.
