## ACHIEVEMENT 2 ##
I am Ndiana-abasi Nse Ebong, I have completed my Achievement 1 and this calls for celebrations 🤣🤣🤣.
I am ready to complete my achievement 2: **SECURITY OF THE STEEM PLATFORM**.
I had to pause and take a look at why security is needed in all facet of life and the great disadvantage we will have if we neglect security. I also took this long to examine why the STEEM platform is giving us different keeps to all it's sub platforms like Master key, Owner key, Active key, Posting key, Memo key.
Let's take a look at each of them and their functions
1.### Posting key: ### this key keeps a user account safe from hackers as you need to login before getting access into your account. This isn't all( you use this key to post, follow, vote and comment on people's post) while also keeping fraudster away from our wallet as third party access isn't enabled.
Active key: ### Gives us power to our wallet. We can transfer token and also covert STEEM currency to our individual accepted currency. We can also transfer, trade the internal Market, move & control Funds and Vote for Witnesses.
Owner key: ###Just like the name is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key which gives you possession of your account ranging full control over your steem account. Note: Access to owner key means any account can be taken over and ownership denied.
Memo key: ### This is used for adding encrypting memos when sending and receiving funds and messages in STEEM platform.
And there are so many other keys in STEEM and just like I said it's very necessary in the platform to safe guard your account and also make your stay in STEEM worth the while.
