My Achievement 2 : Basic Security on Steemit by @nazmulnaheed
Assalamu Alaikum everyone..!
Hope everyone is well. Recently I completed my achievement-1 which was my introduction post. Now I'm writing my achievement no. 2 that is basic security on steem....At the first time, as the beginner I felt so confused about what the basic keys on Steemit are and how they work when the users use the platform. Then, I started learning from some sources such as from the artikel by @cryptokannon. It gives me the better understanding so that I am very confident to write this article as my task in Achievement 2 : Basic Security on Steemit.
Steemit like other social media accounts which require password to login so that the users can access the accounts, so does Steemit. But basically, Steemit makes totally different. It provides its users with security system by generating multiple keys which are commonly referred to permission keys, they are posting key, active key, memo key and owner key. These unique keys have their each function and they are so important to know by the users concerning this platform is not just a social media platform giving the users the wide opportunities to create and publish the contents but they get rewarded for the content in cryptocurrency.
The Different keys On Steemit And Their Functions And Restrictions
Posting key: The posting key allows accounts to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem, and follow or mute other accounts. Most users should be logging into Steemit every day with the posting key. You are more likely to have your password or key compromised the more you use it so a limited posting key exists to restrict the damage that a compromised account key would cause.
Active key: The active key is meant for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatar, and placing a market order.
Owner key: The owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account, including the owner key. Ideally, it is meant to be stored offline, and only used to recover a compromised account.
Memo key: This key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds. In order to encrypt a memo, use the pound/# sign before it.
- My plan to keep my master password?
My master password is stored on my gmail, yahoo, outlook, and on personal drives. Also on Telegram because telegram plays a very important role in keeping your files save.

Step 2: Click on the arrow pointed down on steem.
