Desire is not enough to produce victory or results that is why there is a need for people to be able to distinguish what success is and the possible dangers of failure.
one will ask what is success and how can it be measured? what is failure? To what extent does the damage go? These questions i will try to give answers to in a series of this piece.
what is success? I define success as getting the right result in a particular thing you set your mind to do. It does not have to be so big but as long as result is seen no matter how small that is success. Success is always doing your best. Success can be achieved when you try your best or give in your best in all aspect of everything you do, even if that does not lead to big result. Always learn to appreciate your self for every progress you make because that is success.
what is failure? I define failure as the willingness not to continue on something that you have started, the omission of expected or required action or we can say the absence of success.
Let us start with reasons for failures because nobody wants to fail.

Reasons why people fail

1- Excuses.
2- Violating the law of process.

1-Excuses- I see excuses as a justification for not striving higher or the inability to take responsibility for your life and result. If you search for excuses you will surely find them. so many people attribute there failures to so many excuses. it is true that if the government was better so many people "may" be a little more successful because if you ask me there is no major measure for success it all depends on the standards you have set for yourself.
I also agree that for some people if they were from a family whose financial background is better than what they have they will do better but these are sure excuses people give for there inability to finish. i rather give reasons for not finishing and try again than give excuses and quit.
It is wickedness to fail and not try again because everyone who has succeeded in life had every reason to fail. True success comes most times from several failures.
2-Violating the law of progress We live in a generation where process is seen as delay, we live in a generation where success is been sorted out for without process. we must be tried,tested and proven before we are honored or attain a level of success.
The law of process is a very painful one that is why it is very important for people to accept that process. If you want to fail run away from process but if you want to succeed embrace the process and everything it brings.

Dangers of failure
So many peoples life are in one way or another looped to yours and when you fail they fail too. it is not just a question of when i fail it is just me no a large number of people are in on it too.
The society is affected too because when these excuses are given it becomes frustrations and when a man is frustrated he can do anything to get out of it which may lead to actions that may affect the society.
Failure kills self believe and confidence. There is a need for everyone to know the effect of failure and that it can leave a long lasting effect on not just you but others. Let me end this piece by giving you a short story about a man who felt he had failed. He has two boys and they both grew up and became men, one was successful while the other was not. They were asked the reasons for the different turn around in life knowing that they were both from the same family.
The young man who had failed said the reason why he had failed is because he grew up and saw his father as a failure and his father was comfortable with it. The other successful one was asked the same question and he said he grew up and saw that his father had failed and he made up his mind to be different from his father.
I leave you with this, 'you are where you are today because you want to be there.
It is never too late to bounce back. Success is waiting for you.
