Plagiarism is presenting someone else's work or idea with out their consent, by incorporating it into your work with out full acknowledgement.
Am excited writing on this topic because it's the most commonly crime our generation of this days are involved with,no body want to think and create their own ideas or work rather they will copy and paste someone else's work with out citing the source showing that the work is not entirely their own. Most times we need other people ideas and knowledge to make up our own content but when ever you do that try and cite the source to make your research complete.
HOW TO STOP PLAGIARISM
*make use of own words
*Do not copy and paste
*Try to understand the topic you are writing about.
*Develop your own style
*Even if you make use of some one's idea, pictures and videos make sure you cite them with there source indicating dat is not entirely your work.
Disadvantages and punishment of plagiarism
*Plagiarism is prohibited on steemit if you are caught in that act your reputation is destroyed and you might loss your account.
*loose of confidence
*loss of professional reputation
*you can also face legal consequences for copyright.
*you can be arrested and go to Jail for up to one year.
conclusion
The better you stop plagiarism the best for all of us, the originality of your content matters a lot, its makes your content unique and well presentable, if at all you make use of someone's idea, pictures or videos make sure to add the source and the link below them.
