What is plagiarism?

In my own words, theft means stealing someone's material or work. This means presenting one's work or idea as one's own without proper recognition. When you take someone else's written ideas and opinions without including quotes, it is called plagiarism and hence it is considered plagiarism. The main problem in writing is plagiarism because it is marked as fraud. Theft is a punishable offense.

Direct theft

Direct plagiarism occurs when an author copies the author's work word for word without giving credit or quotation. This is the worst form of theft. It is also known as deliberate plagiarism. The author deceives the audience by copying the works of others without proper acknowledgment.

Paraphrasing plagiarism

means rewriting the author's idea in your own words and presenting it as your own idea. This is one of the most common types of theft. Without adding quotes, paraphernalia becomes plagiarism.

Self plagiarism

This is one of the most common types of theft and the easiest for authors and students to do. Here, the author tries to combine some of the previous work with the new work. It is dishonest to present your previous job as a new job because you have already got the credit for it. To protect yourself from theft.

Mosaic plagiarism

It is also known as incremental theft and mosaic theft. This is when authors copy and paste ideas, phrases and quotes from various sources to create new content. This involves slightly altering the structure of paragraphs, words, and sentences.

How to avoid plagiarism

To avoid theft, always try to follow these principles:

Determine your sources before writing. Be aware of your sources from the beginning of your research. Most people commit theft because they often forget where the idea came from and inadvertently make it their own. But when you know your sources, it becomes easier to check where the phrases, ideas

Be sure to use a theft check before submitting your work.

Theft is a highly punishable crime and should be avoided at all costs. This can only be avoided by properly citing our sources. With my understanding of Steamite ethics, I will never find fault with this violation.
