Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is a broad range of percussive electronic music genres made largely for raves and festivals. People who create this type of music are called Dj's. In the late 1980's and early 1990's, during the emergence of raving, party crews, underground festivals and upsurge of interest in club culture, EDM achieved main stream popularity in Europe. In the new Millennium, the popularity of EDM music increased globally especially in United States and Australia. After this, different artists emerged such as; Alan walker, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Griffin, David Guetta, Avicii etc.

Tim Berglin, a.k.a Avicii was a Swedish Dj, musician and songwriter. He was born on 8th September 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden and died on 20th April 2018. He started remixing songs in his bedroom at the age of 8 and began music production at the age of 16. Tim Berglin started suffering from anxiety at the a very young age, with his parents taking him to a therapist at the age of 14. Tim Berglin also said that the name "avicii" means "the lowest level of Buddhist hell". Avicii's parents always said that he had a problem understanding love and happiness A day before Avicii's death a friend expressed concern about his mental state to his father. Later, it was reported that the committed suicide using a glass shard to cut himself. Since then he has been known as one of the greatest Dj who ever lived. Most of his songs like; the nights, the days, wake me up, levels, waiting for love etc won different awards and made him famous.
