Hi! steemians, I am back with my 3 Task
on the newcomer's community, which is; "content etiquette"

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

PLAGIARISM: is the act of coping or stealing someone else's work without
Their authorization. Claiming another persons work as your own is plagiarism

Using another person's pictures or diagrams without their permission or without giving the creator credit is plagiarism.

Plagiarism means presenting someone else’s work as your own. In academic writing, plagiarizing involves using words, ideas, or information from a source without including a proper citation.
Plagiarism can have serious consequences for students and researchers, even when it’s done accidentally. To avoid plagiarism, it’s important to keep track of your sources and cite them correctly.

Plagiarism is a form of academic dishonesty. Whether you’re a student submitting a paper to a class or a researcher submitting to a journal, it’s expected that the work you submit is your own.

If you express an idea without mentioning the source, or paste a passage of text without properly quoting it, you’re taking credit for someone else’s work. This is true even if you didn’t deliberately set out to mislead your readers.

As a good writer, you should be aware that copy and pasting someone's work without reference is not legit

Rather when you copy someone's work you should show the direct link to that particular work you copied

Plagiarism is not only about copying someone else's writeup, even copying or using someone's photo, video, quote e, t, c, is considered plagiarism on steemite

Plagiarism is also the act of taking credit for another persons work by stealing there content and posting it as yours which is very unprofessional,

It is important to be authentic in your work, be original, and be professional, plagiarism is an offense in steemite and such content will be downvoted.
How to avoid plagiarism

Always try and avoid copypasteing, you can read a post, don't copy and paste it, instead read and write what you understand, and always add reference so that your audience can visit the cite to gain more information.

Plagiarism doesn’t mean you can’t use other researchers work or ideas, but it’s important you differentiate your own words and ideas from that of your sources.

Always acknowledge your primary source by putting a citation in the content.

Example: "Businesses can help achieve a complete 2020 Census by encouraging their employees and/or customers to complete their questionnaires this year."
