My Achievement 2 : Basic Security on Steemit by @Liams1

Hello everybody..

It is nice to greet you all again after introducing my self on the Steemit for my first post ( Achievement 1 ). In this session, I will impact knowledge or understanding about the basic keys on Steemit. As a newbie felt so confused about what the basic keys on Steemit are and how they work when the users use the platform. Then, I started learning from some sources such as from the article by @cryptokannon, @SteemNigeria or the menu FAQ available on the website. It gives me the deep understanding so that I am confident to write this article as my task in Achievement 2 : Basic Security on Steemit
Steemit Is a well organized structured platform which requires Security to login so that the users can access the accounts. It aids its users with security system by generating essential keys which are commonly referred to as Permission keys, they are posting key, active key, memo key and owner key. These unique keys have their requirements and functions and they are of massive importance as knowledge by the users concerning this platform. Steemit is not just a media to err views but a source of wealth and many has been pertaking in respect to wealth acquirements. Loosing your keys could be so disastrous and for the purpose of account safety Bellow are keys to take note of

The Function of the Keys

Posting key

This key is a lower level password used for performing simple access such as posting, voting, commenting and following other accounts. So, this key is used to do daily access. financial transactions cannot be done with this key, but in respect to hacking these key has to be secured .

To perform the actions of posting, voting, commenting and following other accounts, the users can click login on the right top of the page, Then use your posting key to access.

Active Key

This type of key is used for commercial work on the platform to transfer, trade the internal market, control funds and change account setting. The users have to be watchful and certain this key is kept safe and secure so that others can not take over your authority in performing financial aspects.

Memo key
Memo key is not that benefitial for now. Basically, this key is used to encrypt and decrypt private messages.

Owner Key

As the name implies, this key is the most powerful key among other keys. It gives full power for the users to change other keys’ password even the owner key itself when needed. This key is also used to recover your account.
the users have to keep it safe and secure. By this way, we can prevent our Steemit account from the hacker’s control.

Master password

When signing up Steemit for the first time, you will be given master password a password with letters and characters.This master password is the highest level security that performs very case sensitive actions. It must be kept immediately in a safe place and should not be used in general. You can keep it offline such as in a paper, Gmail or notes for safe keeping.

That is all my understanding on the Basic Security System on Steemit. After a long time to understand from many sources, I can share you about this article. I believe that this article is not perfect. Therefore, I do hope the support of all to make me more knowledgeable and excited to share something useful for others on this platform.

How to do a steemtransfer
to another's account

Log in to your account using username and active key password.
Note: you have to click on the three lines to login before you can access the wallet
Click on the small arrow beside the Steem balance and then select transfer. Put the intending acount you want to transfer to, amount you want to transfer and confirm it and congratulations your tokens have been transferred.
You may not see the arrows if you don't login

How to power up

All steemites can transfer hot liquid Steem to steem power and this process is called power up.

Step 1: Access your wallet and click to the steem and this interface will open.

Step 2: Click to the power up

Step 3: then your Steem will be convert into steem power.

This steps above is called powering up your Steem. The more you have Steem power the more domination you will have in this platform .
