Hello everyone,
I have been researching and learning on how to make quality posts on this platform which would help in growing this great community.

Nevertheless, i'm glad to be here once again to complete my achivement 3 post which is about plagiarism.

First of all, what is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the act of stealing someone's else idea or work, and presenting them off as your own without due authorization from the owner of the work.

Is it really possible to steal someone's work or idea?

The answer to this question is yes, the original works and idea's presented by someone is usually protected by copyright laws, using them without due authorization leads to the act of plagiarism which is unlawful and and an awful act of stealing.
I must point out that plagiarism is duly condemned in this platform and it is a punishable offence.
As a new comer in this platform it is very important to avoid copy and pasting and also learning how to find images and duly source them.

Learning about content etiquette has also taught me that there are 4 different types of plagiarism which includes
-Direct
-Self
-Mosaic
-Accendential

Direct plagiarism involves duplicating another persons work without authorization or acknowledge from them.

Self plagiarism entails copying one's earlier work or duplicating previous works of the same creator.

Mosaic plagiarism means when a writer borrows a phrase from another writer without using quotations.

Accidental plagiarism occurs when an individual accidental forgets to quote a source of information.

How do avoid plagiarism?
We can avoid plagiarism by the following ways
-creating your own ideas and works
-by quoting and referencing the source of information
-by using plagiarism checkers
-by making use of paraphrasing.
