Achievement 2 Task: Basic Security on STEEM

INTRODUCTION
Greetings to you all. I am here to share my achievement 2 with you all, after understanding the basic concept of security. Indeed, security is important and we are all responsible for our security. So without too much to say, here I present my achievement 2, according to the questions asked.

Question 1: Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

yes I have retrieved all my Keys
such as Master password, Owners key, Active key, and Post key.

Question2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Master Password: is used to generate all the other keys, including the Owner Key.
The Master Password is gotten upon signing up on this platform. It is used to download all the other keys from Steemit.com wallet.

The Owner Key: is only meant for use when necessary and it is the most important of all keys because it can used to change any of the other keys of an account. It is meant to be used only to recover a compromised account.

The Active key: is meant for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, powering up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatars, and placing a market order.

The Posting Key: grants users permission to their accounts to post, comment, edit, upvote, downvote, resteem, and follow or mute other accounts.

The Memo key: this key is used to encrypt and decrypt memos when transferring funds to external wallets.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have written it down on a piece of paper, Which I keep in a private place no one would have access to. And the digital backups, or I store them in an external hard drive or disk drive.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another Steem user account?

First of all, I logged into my Steemit wallet with using my username and active key. then I clicked on the drop-down arrow close to my Steem icon and choose transfer.

Step 1: The first is to open your Steemit wallet

Step 2: Then you click on the drop-down button there you will see different options, click on Transfer.

Step 3: Write the username and also the amount of Steem to send in the (Amount) option.

Step 4: After that, you provide your active key in the next option and your Steems will be transfer successfully.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Open your Steem Wallet then click on the drop-down button by the right of Steem.

After clicking the drop-down button you will see options, click on the power-up option.

Put in the amount. Then put your active key to power up your Steem.

I have understood the basic security of STEEMIT and its usage and I won’t share my keys with anyone for security purposes.
