CAUSES OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is one the acts that makes students very lazy and here are the reasons why students or most people plagiarized;
- Fear to fail: Some people think that the only way they can come up with a good work is by stealing from others. They are usually influenced by the fear of failing if they don't get a good grade.
- Procrastination and laziness: Others too are too lazy to create their own work, they tend to always postpone the time to sit down and come up with a good content of their own. As the saying goes "procastination is a thief of time". This later leaves them with little time to create an oringinal and their only option left is to steal another person's work.
- Belief of not getting caught: Some people also think they are too smart to be caught in the act. They go ahead in using others work with the idea that nobody will ever notice that they are using a plagiarized content.
WAYS TO STOP PLAGIARISM
There’s the need to stop plagiarism in order to value others work and bring out creativity in our works. To do this we have to
- Avoid procastination: When you avoid procrastination, you will find quality time to create a good content.
- Always cite the source of any borrowed content.
- Give credit to authors that you may have used their work.
