We live in a world today where morals and values are being underrated and disregarded people always want to do things based on what they feel or think without considering whether it is morally right all they worry about is their comfort and while on that they do not care if they trample on others hardwork.

The steemit platform in their greatness decided that newcomers make elaboration on plagiarism and ensure they are well aware of what it is about and what it entails in order to prevent the actions of plagiarism on the steemit platform because it is disheartening when a person after working very hard to make a content the same content is then copied by another person it is disheartening and it should be shunned. Today I'll be talking on plagiarism

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is the act of illegally claiming ownership of another person's work, ideas and content and Making it seem like an original from you without seeking permission from the author.
It is a defaming act and it is being practiced by various people today. There are various types of plagiarism of which I'll be outlining them all today.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

1. DIRECT PLAGIARISM: This can be seen as the direct word for word transcription of another person's work without giving attribute it reference to the original author of the work. People tend to indulge in this for various reasons best known to them and I advice that such acts should be stopped and offenders should be penalized.

2 MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: This is when a student or user makes use of an idea or quote of another person entirely without using the quotation mark or even citing the work of the person in the proposed content. This can also be called Patching and it is non ethical.

3. SELF PLAGIARISM: Many people are perpetuators of this act today and some are quite unaware. Utbie highly possible to self plagiarize one's self. Self Plagiarism can be seen as the direct transcription or paraphrasing of a previous work you have done personally and using it to service a given task. This act is also a form of plagiarism because it gives instructor the notion that it is a fresh work typed by you not knowing it is a previous work and was only paraphrased. It should be noted that if a quote or a line is lifted from a work even if it is yours originally it should be cited.

4. ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM:It can also be seen as unintentional plagiarism. This is when one forgets to acknowledge a work or quote which was used during the course of content creation but the fact that it wasn't intentional doesn't justify it and it should be corrected

HOW TO CITE A SOURCE
It is always necessary to make reference to the source of which you get an information and here I'll be showing how to cite a source

For example

I'll be citing a quote I found that I apply to my daily life

It should be noted that plagiarism is a criminal offense and punishable by the law and it should be avoided at all cost
