Hello great minds and all subscribers to Steeming Diaries communities, I am happy to be part of this contest of this month of September 2021. All thanks go to @stream4u and @sapwood for organizing this contest and sponsoring It respectively. On this note, I will be providing the solutions to steemit frequently asked questions (FAQ).
Steemit is a blockchain which allows every user of the blockchain to take advantage of its existence by writing and posting quality contents, upvoting a post and equally commenting on other people's post and all of this processes makes the user earn rewards. especially when a user makes a post that is free from plagiarism.
Steemit is the first blockchain social media which was introduced 5 years ago, Steemit blockchain-based social media platform and equally a decentralized app (DApp) which was introduced to steem blockchain in 24th match, 2016.
It is always not easy for someone who don't understand how the steemit platform works, to make and post content on its own. for this reason, steemit has created a medium of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to make it easier to ease understanding.
FAQ is a guide of questions and answers relating to a specific program, subject, or website, which serve as a guide in understanding a particular headline as well as others.
Steemit FAQ is a multi-list of questions and answers provided for users. These are questions often asked by steemit users in other to get clarifications.
Steemit is a decentralized social media platform that creates room for users to share their content, feelings, experience and thought.
On this note, users can post educative content in other to educate the public of something new.
It could be videos such as comedy, TVs' shows, drama etc. Songs MIDI tones, jokes and promotion of products like that of steemit promo, Text and images like the plant, building, flower,s etc are not left out and it must all be free from plagiarism. Authors can write post on anything that will attract others as far as it doesn't go against human rightst regulations as well as the rules on the steemit platform.

The answer to the above question is yes. Anytime you comment on a user's post on the platform, is what is known as curation. As a curator, you earn digital token when other curators upvote your comment on the platform. The reward distribution is shared 50/50 as in the regular post.

Commenting is a good way of mentaininng relationship with users in the platform. When you read through some one's post and you finds it educative, you intend to leave a quality comment on the post and this encourages the author of the post. Once the author gets notification of your comment, he/she replies to your comment and this creates relationship on the platform.
Some users are absent minded when it comes to given a quality comment on a post, some don't even have time to read through the post to know the content of the post before commenting. On this note, they will write, you really had a nice day, nice pix etc. This are not classified as good comments because it does not encourage the author of the post and it discourages engagement on the platform. Understanding the content of the post and equally give good comment to it, helps to develops you over time.
Bellow are the reasons why people may have different rewards on the platform:
Amount of Steem Power (SP): Steem power is the influence which a user has on the steemit blockchain. User with a high level of SP recieved higher reward compared to those with lower SP. For example when a user with 4 million SP votes on your post, you can't compare it with someone with 500 SP. The curation reward will be very different.
Large follower base: Users with large followers always have a higher reward, this is because their post is always voted by their followers.
Quality of the content: Steemcurator01 and 02 always curate quality contents. So the more you put in your time in writing quality content post, the higher your rewards.
Cnnections: Getting connected and creating relationships with people on the platform make them to curate your post when posted.
Time: The more time you invest on steemit platform, the more you get clear with the rules and gaining understanding of how to improve your blogging.
Good Reputation: Having a high reputation will attract steemcurator01 to curate your post. Therefore, people with reputations are good content writers.
Expectation by steemit users includes the following:
Posting of quality content makes you influential
The amount of followers you have
Having higher Steem Power (SP)
Having a high reputation on the platform
Users can improve earnings through the following ways:
Building your steam power (SP) by powering up. Your curation reward is depending on your SP.
Making quality post.
Delegating Steem Power: If a user delegates its SP, they usually get rewards from the delegatee.
Steem-Promo: Promoting steem on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and on steemit platforms usually draws the attention of @steemcurators01, @steemcurators02, and @stephenkendal.
Curating content on steemit blockchain is by reading through and discovering its value whether it is of good or bad content before upvoting it. As earlier discussed, curation happens when you upvote and comment on a user's post on the steemit blockchain. This tells how much a user earns when upvoting and commenting on a user's post. Note, the comment of the post can be curated and still yield reward.
The higher your Steem power, the higher your upvote likewise curation reward. A curator is a user who upvotes or downvotes your post on the platform. When you upvote content, you are likely to earn rewards.
Any content that is curated between 0-15 minutes after the post was published, the author receives a reasonable percentage(%) of rewards. Curating a post usually attract 25% of the post value. Any post that is exactly 15 minutes of age when curated, the curator gets 50% while 50% is for the author.
Any post that is curated after 30 minutes of age, the curator receive 100% of the reward.
Curation rewards refers to the rewards by curator (s) for upvoting content on steemit.
Curation reward is usually rewarded in steem power (SP) when you upvote users post. But when you comment on a post and the comment is upvoted, the reward comes in steem dollar (SBD).
one is by Joining curation trails. This allows group of persons to combine their SP together in order to gain more value when it is used to upvote a post rather than individual votes which will have no influence on the post.
Earnings can be improve through curation rewards when users uses convert their SBD to steem, then used the steem to power up. You should know that steem power gives you influence on the platform and enable you to earn more curation rewards.
Plagiarism is that act of using an image, text, video, or any content that is not originally owned by you.
On steemit blockchain, plagiarism occurs when a user uses an image, text, video etc that is not his/her own without referencing the source of the information.
Spam what is considered spam is for e:g vote bidding services like #tipu! This is an unwanted offer for upvoting ones content. Spamming can equally be seen when an unrelated tag is used on a post or multiplication of same comment on several posts. Or seeking for vote on your post (begging for money). You should equally know that buying of vote on steemit blockchain is considered spam.
Abuse: Abuse usually takes place when a user on steemit blockchain violate the stipulated rules guiding the platform and equally violating human rights.
Reputation: Reputation is the measure of the influence/value a user has on steemit platform. What you should understand is, the more upvote you have in your content the higher and faster your reputation increases. Lower reputation like 25 has no influence on the platform but higher reputation like 80 has higher influence.
The first step of building your reputation is by posting quality content post regularly and if your post attracts curators to vote on it, your reputation increases. Your reputation can equally increases when you comment upvotes and make quality post regularly.
Bellow are the following steps to take when you discovered that your account is hacked:
Step 1: You should make the following available:
- Your login email address on steemit
- Your user name on steemit
- Your master password which you used not later than 30 days prior.
Step 2 Visit the steemit account recovery page
Step 3: Input your details and follow the procedure
You can used your steemit recovery account to generate a new password or keys to your account when ever your account password is changed without your knowledge.
Note: you must go through this process within withing 30 days of recovering the password and note that you must make available your owner/master password available which you use and not later than 30 days prior.
If the above keys are not available, your account can never be recovered again.
The following should be taken into considered to ensure your account is saved:
By keeping your master password either you print it out or save it on your email. But make sure you keep it save.
Don't share your keys with anybody such as master, Private, Public or Owners keys.
Don't click on malicious link on steemit plateform. This is because many uses such links to deceive others.
