ACHIEVEMENT 2 @junioreric TASK: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEM

Basic Security refers to the quality or state of being secure. It is very necessary to stay secured on steemit platform in order to prevent your account from being stolen by hackers. Security can be destroyed but it is the responsibility of the users that this does not happen.

WHAT IS STEEM?

Steem is an open source program oriented for the creation of a network platform social steemit. Users are content generators. It is a social blockchain that grows communities and makes immediate revenue streams possible for users by rewarding them for sharing content. That is why it is important to take into account the security of the events that users carry out within the steemit system.

SECURITY KEYS FOR USERS

These keys were created for certain and determined function. This obliges us to know how to use and protect your security keys and to have a happy completion of the execution of the functions and processes related to the steemit platform.

• MASTER PASSWORD

All the keys (Owner, Posting, Active, Memo keys, etc) can be derived from the Master key. The master key is the most sensitive key and should be kept offline in a safe place.

• POST KEY

The Post key is one of the most used since it is the input for the user’s login to be able to upload publications, follow other users, make comments both their own and for other publications.

• ACTIVE KEY

The Active key is used to peform all the functions of the post key but its difference and importance is that with it you can carry out transactions such as transfers to bittrex or any other exchange or wallet.

• MEMO KEY

The Memo key is a steemit public key used to encrypt and verify messages. It is used while transferring funds and it can be seen by public.

• OWNER KEY

With the Owner Key, you can carry out the functions of the posting key and active key. The difference is that with this key, you can change the passwords which means that this key is the one with the highest hierarchy since you can control the account totally. This key is important and should be kept safe.

Yes, I have.
There are Steemit Private keys and Steemit Public keys.
The Private key are: Private Posting key, Private Memo Key, Private Active Key, Private Owner Key and the Master Password.
The Public Key involves, Posting public, Memo Public, Active Public, and Owner Public.

• Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes, I know each of these key functions and restrictions.

• How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have saved my master password as PDF at a safe place on my laptop, in my vault on cloud, written it on a paper and placing it my secured file.
