Hi, lovelies, it's @joymel again and I'm so glad to be writing my second achievement post after having been verified on the first one. On my second achievement post, I would be writing about The Basic Security on Steemit.

Firstly, I find it worth the while to give a brief introduction on what security is after having understood the necessity it bears as a concept. Security can be referred to the resilience from harm or hurt. It is the protection of an entity, could be a person, a place, a thing, an ecosystem or even a phenomenon susceptible to an unwanted reconstruction or refashioning. The essence of security cannot be overemphasized, this is because even in our daily lives and in our different countries, basic security is one of the most important and recognised demands for proper living.

Security in steemit can be classified under cybersecurity because it has to do with the protection of internet-related devices that include either hardware or software and even data. In steemit, one is provided with passwords and keys to help secure his or her account from another party.

Going over to my task, question one demands to know if I've been able to retrieve all my keys. Yes! I have and I was able to do that by saving them all as a PDF document on my phone.

In Steemit, there are four basic keys, and I would be talking about them in relation to question two.
The 4 basic keys include the Posting key, the active key, owner key, memo key.

• Posting Key

With the posting key, one can vote, comment, edit and even follow or mute an account. It is also advisable to make use of the posting key to log in to your account as the continuous use of passwords would lead to a compromise.

• Active Key

The active key in steem is used for voting for witnesses, converting steem dollars, placing a market order and also transferring funds etc. It is said that the active key controls sensitive tasks because it is mainly used when dealing with monetary processes and the use of your wallet.

• Owner Key

The owner key is used to recover a compromised account. It is also counted as a very important key in the steemit platform as it is used to create other keys including its very own key. Thus, it should be kept very safe and advisably offline.

• Memo Key

The memo key is used for encrypting, decoding and authorizing transactions in the Steemit platform and cannot be used to carry out any other task besides this.

How to keep your master password safe

The master password is the primary key created when you have successfully created your account on steemit. It is used to verify and authorize transactions in the steemit wallet. It is also used to log in to the steemit wallet and other steemit related platforms.
To safeguard the master key, I will do the following

• I save them as word documents on my phone and system
• I also saved them as archived documents on my hard drive.
• Also, I save them offline in my diary

How to transfer your steem token to another steem user account

Steem token is the native token used on the steemit platform. It can be transferred from user to user. There are various tokens used within the steemit platform which includes the steem(the native token), the SP(Steem power), SBD(Steem Dollar) and TRX (Tron).

To transfer steem to another user, I would first log in to my steem wallet using the master key.
Then I would click on the steem arrow which will bring down a dropbox that contains different tabs.

I would then click on transfer, this will then bring out a box of information and space where I would fill in the name of the user account and also the amount that I am transferring.

I would then click on next, which would bring out another box where I would confirm the transaction by clicking OK.

How to power up steem

This simply means to freeze up your steem and there is numerous benefit to powering up your steem.
To do that, click on steem and click power up.

By clicking on power-up, a box will appear where you have to place the amount of steem needed to be powered up.

Then, click on power up to authorize the power-up process.
