Hello every one welcome to my achievement 3 post which is about content etiquette, last time i did a post about all your steemit keys and how you can keep them safe but today i am going to be explaining on how you can keep your account safe by avoiding wrong doings that will affect your reputation.

Plagiarism is the process of using another persons work like picture, video, text or files and claim it as your own which is a crime.

Types of plagiarism

I). Mosaic plagiarism: this is the type of plagiarism that happens when someone copy something or anything from different website.

II). Global plagiarism: this is the type of plagiarism that happens when someone copy another person whole entire work.

III). Self plagiarism: this is the type of plagiarism that happens when you copy from your self like you copy and post a past post of yours.

Iv). Paraphrasing: this happens when a thief copy you paragraph of phrase without citing the source of the content, this is a very serious plagiarism which should be prevented.

Effect Of Plagiarism

I). It leads to failure or disaster
II). It leads to your reputation getting damaged
III). It leads to laziness
Iv). It leads to suspension

How to avoid Plagiarism

Follow these four steps to ensure your paper is free from plagiarism:
1.Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
2.Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas).
3.Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
4.Use a plagiarism checker before you submit.

Citation is the process of giving credit to the original owner of what you used as your own so that other people will not get it twisted.

II). Chicago/Turabian style.
III). American Psychological Association(APA).

In the example above it shows that the original sentence is.

Conclusion

Plagiarism is not good so i will stay away from it and also you should because it is not good any way i hope i explain this achievement post to your best understanding and i will see you next time
