I completed my achievement2 few days ago, it was verified by @bright-obias .
The topic for Achievement3 is about PLAGIARISM.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM ?
Plagiarism in my own understanding from the lecture of @cryptokannon is simple the duplication of another person's work, it may be a picture, an art work, a poem or a text without proper reference and taking credit for it.

WHY DO WE NEED TO SITE OR GIVE PROPER REFERENCING AS STEEMIT USERS ?
To be original is one of Steemit most important rules. Sharing quality post that are original is highly recommend on Steemit.
So..when you copy another person's work without proper reference and taking credit for it, it is a crime.

HOW TO CITE A SOURCE
A link to every information or work which is not originally your own must be placed at the end of every separate information given.
Every copied sentence should be in quotes "" or you can format it using the > markup.

Example 1
Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.
The above quote belongs to Mary Kay Ash but it wasn't referenced which is a big offense on Steemit.

Correction

The same thing is applicable to pictures. Always make sure the images used in your work are copyright free and don't forget to site the source of the photo as illustrated above if you are not the original owner.

With the help from the tutorial made by @cryptokannon in the newcomers community, I was able to understand and make my achievement3 post.

I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
